Distribute The Weight Evenly

Too much weight placed towards the back of your toy hauler can create an imbalance at higher speeds.
The ratio should be 60% of your cargo’s weight up front and 40% towards the back. Distribute the weight evenly from left to right as well so that you don’t put too much pressure on one set of tires.
Load With Care
Once you’ve planned the weight distribution, it’s time to load up your toy hauler. Begin with your towing vehicle parked on flat, level ground, and chock the wheels for stability. Lower your toy hauler’s gate to convert it into a loading ramp. Try to make the angle as low as you can to ease your loading burden.
Drive your powersports vehicle slowly towards the ramp, but give yourself enough speed to get up the incline. Once you’re in the bay and reasonably situated, shut off the engine, since carbon monoxide fumes can build up quickly in a small space.
Secure Your Cargo
Once you have your vehicle in the toy hauler, you’ll want to secure it in place. Ratchet straps will hold down the suspension, or you can use D-ring tie-downs to secure it to the garage’s interior. Whatever method you use, make sure that you test it by giving your vehicle a tug to see if it shifts around. You’re done loading when your cargo is balanced and secure!
